Fariba Taheri

With over 30 years of clinical experience, Fariba specializes in assessing and treating scoliosis and neurological conditions through physiotherapy. 

Certified and trained in the Schroth Method, Bobath approach, Neurodevelopmental Treatment, and various manual therapy techniques, she brings a wealth of expertise to her practice. 

Having previously served for many years as a clinical instructor with the University of Toronto Department of Physical Therapy, Fariba founded the Canada Scoliosis and Neuro Centre with a vision of bringing together experienced clinicians to provide excellent client-centered neurological and scoliosis rehabilitation.

Professional Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from the Institut Superieur des Carrieres Auxilliaires de la Medecine (I.S.C.A.M), Brussels
  • Certified Bobath therapist for both adults with neurological disorders and children with cerebral palsy.
  • Certification in the Schroth Method for conservative treatment at the Asklepios Katharina Schroth Clinic in Bad Sobernheim, Germany
  • Certified instructor for the Schroth Best-Practice program, mentored by Dr. Hans-Rudolf Weiss

Azita Tayyeba

Azita brings over 20 years of clinical experience to her physiotherapy practice, complemented by extensive education in the field.

Specializing in addressing acute and chronic neck and back pain conditions, as well as clients with neurological conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, and brain injury, Azita is well-versed in a variety of evidence-based techniques. Azita’s dedication to providing high-quality care is evident in her approach to every client’s treatment journey.

Beth, brings years of experience and a diverse skill set to her practice. Trained in various physiotherapy treatment approaches, including vestibular rehabilitation, neural tissue tension treatment, Pilates, k-taping, and the Schroth Best Practice Method for scoliosis management.

Trained in musculoskeletal injuries, Beth employs manual therapy techniques complemented by active exercises and self-management strategies. Her client-centered approach is evidence-based and tailored to individual needs, focusing on joint mobilization, soft tissue release, and education on postural awareness, core stabilization, and activity progression.

Maryam Azerarang-Esfandiari

Maryam, a Registered Physiotherapist with over 18 years of experience, specializes in musculoskeletal issues, post-surgery rehab, athlete injuries, postural correction, and myofascial pain. She offers personalized, evidence-based treatments tailored to each patient’s needs, focusing on restoring mobility and overall well-being.

Committed to continuous learning, Maryam empowers her patients with knowledge for long-term health. For expert care and injury rehabilitation, Maryam provides a supportive environment to guide you to recovery.

Michelle Wong

Michelle is a highly skilled physiotherapist specializing in paediatric and adult care for neurological and orthopaedic conditions. She completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto and her Bachelor of Health Sciences in Rehabilitation Sciences at Western University. During her clinical internship at the Integrated Movement Disorders Program at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, she developed a keen interest in neurological populations.

Currently, Michelle works at the Hospital for Sick Children, where she focuses on treating children and teens with somatic symptom disorder, functional neurological disorder, and chronic pain. She emphasizes collaboration among healthcare providers, families, and educators to improve patient outcomes. Michelle is dedicated to her professional growth and actively engages in continuing education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in her field.

Loria Hsu

Loria brings over 20 years of extensive experience as a physiotherapist, working across hospitals, community settings, and private clinics. She has cared for individuals of all ages but is particularly passionate about supporting children with orthopedic and neurodevelopmental conditions. Her client-centered approach ensures that each treatment plan is personalized, empowering clients to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
